I need shiny hair!!!

Over the summer my hair has become rather dull. I use shine sprays and try not to blow dry my hair, but it just doesn't sparkle like a Pantene commercial.

I'm wondering if the best way to add some shine back to my hair is to color it again?

Or is there some miracle product I haven't seen yet?

Ever since I did the Kerasmooth treatment my hair is super shiny. Its never looked like this before. My hairstylist also said using a moisturizing conditioner(leave in) and shampoo helps lock in the shine.

Do you use a clarrifying shampoo sometimes to remove build up? That helps me a lot. I use the cheapo suave one. You could get a shine treatment done at the salon. I think Herbal Essence makes a drugstore one.

I noticed that my hair is shinier since I started using Moroccan oil.

I have had a glossing treatment at the Salon before, and it lasted a while....got compliments on it.

You may find it at a local salon. I purchased mine through mine.

Plenty online also including directly from the company.

No prob. Just to be clear, it's the Oil Treatment in the brown glass bottle. Not the other stuff.

Sadly, it did not work great for me. I gave most of my bottle to a friend.

I've always wanted to try one of those. I might pick one up next time I'm at Walgreens, not the same brand though. I think it's a John Frieda product

I'll check with my hairstylist. She's told me before she could do a clear glaze on my hair to bring up the shine.

Nope, I don't use a clarifying shampoo and because my hair is so long I need a lot of conditioner. Maybe I just have build up

I've used Jojoba oil on my hair, I'm not sure if this is equal to Moroccan oil.

If you have a Sally's near by ( you can also order online ) and want a less expensive alternative to the Moroccan oil, try the One n Only brand Argan oil. It has really great reviews and I believe it has the same ingredients as the Moroccan oil.

How does one use this Moroccan oil? Do you drop a bit in your hands, warm it up and rub it on your hair or is this more like a hot oil treatment?

^ yes. You don't need much. Distribute it between your palms and then through your hair.

Whatever remains on your hands, you can just rub over the tops and it will moisturize also. It's an oil that's not really greasy

I used to wash it off though. But, I just didn't like the feel of it.

Smells nice.

Has anyone tried using the pure Argan oil (the ingredient in Moroccan Oil) and adding it to their own products or using it alone? I am thinking about trying it because it is natural and more concentrated than the hair products and the reviews sound good. Plus I have free amazon prime shipping and can't stop buying stuff

This is the only pic I've taken since I've colored my hair...with the Iphone and in the mirror I don't think you can really tell if it is shiny but damn it's curly. I got one of those curling wands and those things rock...besides the nasty little burn I got on the front of my neck

pic removed...

Thanks both of you

My hair doesn't usually curl that well, at least not with a curling iron. The curling wand
