Has anyone here ever tried to do the Keratin "blowout" treatment
at home by themselves...I am half tempted but afraid of spending
the money for it not to work...But its less expensive then going
and getting done professionaly...Tips?

I would never do this without a professional doing it. I had the kerasmooth done at home by my sister who is a cosmotologist and went to a specific class for this treatment. My hair felt gummy after 30 mins and I was even nervous it was going to start falling out. I definitely wouldnt do it alone not knowing what you are doing. Who makes an at home treatment that a professional doesnt do? This all being said I absolutely loved my hair after having it done. It was super shiny and soft and cut down my blow dry and straightening time to less than 10 mins. Before it would take me almost an hour.

I've had it done a few times and I would definitely not do it myself. The stylist had to flat iron my hair in tiny strips and I would not have been able to do the back of my head correctly. Nevermind playing around with chemicals and risking losing my hair.

Are you still doing hair and if so do you know what the difference is between the kerasmooth (which i did and am almost due for another) and the brazilian blowout. The kerasmooth has lasted about 12 weeks but I was told the brazilian blowout only lasted 8.
