Latisse?

The most recent post mentioning it was a year ago, has anyone tried it? I keep seeing commercials for it on hulu.

Those commercials annoyed me to no end when I was trying to catch up on 5 seasons of Lost. The statement about possible permanent skin darkening always freaks me out. I'd still be interested to know if anyone has tried it though.

I've tried it. I had no darkening to eyes or skin. My eyes are dark brown though. If one is fair and/or has light color eyes, it may be of concern. I really don't know though.

I only stopped b/c I'm super lazy with my weekly disposable contact lenses and didn't take them out each night as is recommended when using Latisse. It irritated when I didn't but when I did take them out, it was fine.

I did have thicker and a bit longer lashes while I was using it but did not stick with it long enough to see achieve the full results.

I've really wanted to try this. My blepharitis makes my damn eyelashes fall out and I'd love to have just a few more and no "holes". I'm too afraid because my eyes are green and I don't want them to change color.

I use this to help grow my eyebrows back after many teen years of over plucking. I does work However, my MIL who has light complection and eyes like me did use this for her eyelashes and DID have discoloration of the whites of her eyes. I, of course, would like longer, thicker eyelashes, but not at the risk of harming my eyes.

Jennifer, I never thought of that! I have the same problem and I fill in my brows every day. Did you get it from your dermatologist or eye doctor?

The side effects are scaring me a bit!! Maybe I shouldn't try...I have fair skin and hazel/green eyes, so I don't want to jeopardize them!! But I do want longer, thicker lashes... Good idea to try it on eyebrows...mine could use some thickening as well...

ETA - Did the lid darkening go away eventually?

Bumping this to share! My mom has been using Latisse for about two months and the change is dramatic. Her lashes have always been short and sparse and they look so good now. I just saw her at Thanksgiving for the first time since she started using it and I couldn't believe the difference.

She has had some darkening on her eyelids but no effect on her vision or her eye color, which is blue/grey. She is very happy with it.
