I can't lend any advice but I'm interested in hearing from members what their experience is with BB creams and possible reviews.

I'd love to try.

I'm eager to try these. It's daunting though which one(s) i should try.

I did purchase L'egere White Multi and hope to receive it soon.

Hope Carol can suggest a suitable one for my skintone.

They were everywhere when I was in HK in the spring. I was wondering what the hell it was too....LOL. I still don't really know what it is. A couple of them I looked at was more like a tinted moisturizer with highlighting. They were both some Korean brands. I remember one of them was called Missha something. I don't remember what the other one. Sorry couldn't be more help.

bb creams have dual purposes - they're supposed to have skin improving properties as well as cover your imperfections. bb stands for blemish balm. there are so many different brands and formulations. I read a review on one and that's what helped me make my decision. I purchased mine on ebay but there are other websites too. For instance Missha has a US site that you can order from. I know carol is using a Missha bb cream now and can tell you more about it. I like the one I'm using now, it's called Skin79 oriental gold bb cream. I'm on the pale side so the color match is good, but I wouldn't suggest it for anyone darker than mac NC 25 or so, it'll be too light. I'll probably try a Missha one next, or maybe Lioele. The thing about bb creams is that the color ranges tend to be very limited and for lighter skin tones. I haven't looked into that many brands so I don't have any additional recommendations, sorry!

That's my issue cyn. In the winter I'm usually NC 30. Spring & fall I'm NC 35.

I'm also looking at BRTC & Dr. Jart.

I read somewhere that the Lioele Water one is good for my coloring but coverage is light and I'd prefer medium coverage.

I don't breakout (anymore) and only have t-zone in the summer.

Even within the brands, there are different varieties. It's confusing.

Oh hai! here I am!

BB creams like Cyn mentioned stand for Blemish Balm. It was something formulated originally for people to put on as a treatment after under going through plastic surgery to help heal their skin while disguising the scars and such. It is somewhat in between foundation and a tinted moisturizer. It covers better than a tinted moisturizer but not as well as heavier coverage foundations. This is generalization of course. There are many different ones out there that offer more coverage and that offer less coverage.. as well as ones for oily skin vs. dry skin, etc.

The ones I own are the Skin 79 VIP Gold BB Cream and the same one as Cyn - the Skin79 Oriental BB cream.. and now I'm using the Missha Perfect Cover BB cream.
I had to give my mom the Skin79 Oriental BB cream b/c it was just way too light for me. Usually most bb creams will adjust to better match your skintone about 15 or so minutes after you've put it on.. but the Oriental one didn't do that and I just looked abnormally pale compared to the rest of my body

Usually BB creams come in one shade to suit every skintone.. and you have to remember this was made with the asian audience in mind so if you are darker than NC 35 or so in MAC terminology, you are not going to find one that works well for you but there is ONE exception - the Missha's bb creams which comes in 4 different shades and have one shade that is targeted for those with NC 35-43 ish skintone and it is only available on their US website and no where else. If you are any darker than this.. there won't be any that looks natural on you

BB creams ARE faked so I really wouldn't recommend anyone purchasing from a seller based in China. If you buy on ebay, buy from a Korean seller if the bb cream is from a Korean company (I think 95% of the bb creams out there are made by Korean companies) and always check out their feedback. However if you want the most peace of mind - you can purchase some directly from the company. Skin79 and Missha both have US based sites that you can purchase off from. I bought both my Skin79 bb creams from a korean ebay seller and I bought the Missha one from the US missha site.

If you are tan - I would probably get the #31 shade of one of Missha's BB cream. I'm using shade #23 and this bb cream matches me the best out of any other bb creams I've either seen or tried out,and I'm in between NC 25-30.. more close to a 30. It offers great coverage and is great for dry skin. If you're oily, you might have to touch up with powder from time to time.

Thank you Carol!

I had eliminated Missha b/c I thought that it would be too light but didn't realize they have a #31. I'm going to order it from the US site.

I've heard that rubyruby76 is an excellent seller of BB creams. She ships from Korea so it will take awhile.

I ordered the Missha #31 from their US site and since they ship from the US, I hope to receive it soon. Oh hey, I think they are shipping from my state. yay!

^ yay! I think they were based in New Jersey? I forget.. somewhere on the east coast

I just do a search and sort by lowest price and choose a seller from korea based on that and checking out their feedback and see what the people who bought the same product have said. I don't really have a designated seller that I go to Oh and usually standard shipping from Korea doesn't take that long - around a week or so. not bad! If you're purchasing Missha, I'd just buy off their site since they have specials/promotions going on a lot and you'd get your items a lot faster since they're shipping from within the US. I'd suggest to check their website often b/c they'll have great deals.. a lot of things will be buy one get one free.. and I got my bb cream for $8 instead of $29.99! when they were having this amazing special. So I got like 40 items for $41. It was crazy! Oh and as a new customer, they include this trial gift set for free and it includes a small sample size of the Perfect Cover bb cream in shade #23

My face oiled up like crazy with Missha's, I like Legere multi white but the one I use the most is the one made by gowoonsesang. I've only seen it sold at sasa. But since my skin has yellow undertones, it works much better for me since a lot of bb creams are too pink.

yeah I suspected that would happen to people with oily skin b/c my dry skin loves the Missha. It's quite moisturizing and doesn't emphasize dry patches so my face is left just nice and glowy! But for oily skins, I can see it needing a lot of frequent touch ups. I looked into the gowoonsesang one since my friend had a sample of it, but it also had more of a pink undertone I thought , like pretty much every bb cream out there. But it is definitely less pink than some and not greyish, which is a plus. I hate the stupid shipping price on Sasa ($15!) Maybe I'll try it one of these days when I feel like spending $75 on their site to get free shipping

Carol, lmk if you ever need anything there. My brother lives in HK so he sends me a bunch of stuff from sasa. They charge a lot more if you look at the prices in USD. You can look at the price in HKD and then convert it to USD and sometimes its like a $10 difference per item lol. Thats why I just have him buy stuff for me then send it to me whenever he mails my mom something.

^ omg really?? that big of a difference? sheesh! I have a few Japanese products in my cart right now that I've been trying to talk myself out of.. but after stopping by a Japanese market yesterday and seeing things marked up for $5-10 more than on Sasa, I might just have to order from them. I'll definitely let you know if I decide to order from sasa Thanks Katie!!

Carol, on Missha website, there're M Perfect Cover BB Cream, M Signature Real Complete BB Cream and Misa Choboyang BB Cream. Do you know what the differences are except the SPF #?

By the way has anyone purchased from yesstyle.com? Are they reliable?
