What are these little white bumps on my skin??

I've been going to the pool almost every day with my kids and I just noticed yesterday that I have these really tiny little bumps on my arms. I'm pretty sure it's not keratosis pilaris because they're white and not red. I also noticed that my oldest son and my daughter also has a few on their hands and arms. Do you think it's from the sunscreen?? I've noticed in the past summers that my daughter gets them after a day in the sun but we always use sunscreen so I'm wondering if that's what is causing them. They're really hard to see and I only noticed they were on my arm because I could feel them. I exfoliated very well yesterday in the shower and they're almost gone. If it is from my sunscreen then I want to find something different to use. Any help would be great!!!

milia maybe?

Ok not the best link example, but exfoliating will usually help.. your sunscreen is probably just clogging up the pores a bit.

^ Its still fresh in my mind.. I had a couple on my eyelid and under ONE eye not too long ago from my sunscreen. Of course, I ended up doing an acid peel to get rid of mine cos of where they were.

Thank you!!! I thought maybe that's what it was but I didn't really think milia could be so wide spread. The top of my whole right arm was covered in them. I do believe you girls are correct though!!! I just read a little and yes, apparently I don't exfoliate enough and sun exposure is a major cause of milia as well as certain sunscreens. Time to look for a new sunscreen I guess. Thanks again!

i just had the exact same reaction from my sunscreen; it itches and is annoying as hell...it's milia imo too.

^ Yes Shi, mine was itchy the first day as well and then the next day they were just bumpy....hmmm, I need to figure out what types of sunscreens don't do this.

i'm pretty sure it's the oxybenzone in the brand you used. i just found out about this in my thread about my slight redness from sunscreen.

i read this sticky after my experience and it helped a lot:
