MILIA under my eyes..how to get rid?

I have had these little white bumps under my eyes and around the top of my eyelids for many years, I noticed it in my late teens, now Im in my twenties, and theres no sign of them going away!!
I've been told that they are milia, or calcium build up
Anyone else share this problem?
What do you suggest I should do?

Sometimes you can pop it but sometimes you will have to go see a derm to get rid of it.
Since I have switched to organic eye cream I no longer get this.

I've noticed this too! I started using the Boscia eye cream which is not really organic, but they are preservative free, and noticed a diminished appearance of milia around my under eyes which is where I have them.. but mine were really small to start off with though.

I'm not sure if I have them...but I have tiny white dots too that can be popped (and a little round white ball comes out). Derm told me they were cysts and the only way to get rid of them permanently was to laser my skin.

I don't think these technically get "popped". I believe the special tool they use is almost like an extractor, right? Literally what I've been told they can do is, use a mini scalpel, make a small incision, and then force the "deposit" out in one piece. This is painful and can cause scarring. I've read that a good eye cream can treat this or at least reduce it

yeah, it was like a mini scalpel!! sounds a lot worse than it was!! for me the procedure was uncomfortable at most but didn't really hurt unless he was attacking one of the bigger ones!! the doc told me to just scrub with a light amount of pressure using a washcloth and my regular facial soap afterwards. i don't have any scars where mine were. some of mine were tiny and others were not so tiny if that makes any sense!!

Some can be popped on their own but some are way too hard. I noticed I had a couple that just went away on their own after I switched to the organic eye cream. I suspect that products with some kind of animal fat contribute to these. My moms went away too after switching to organic.

Milia can be lanced by the derm. Retinoids get rid of them, by the way.

i am pretty sure my health insurance covered it!! all i had to pay for was the regular office visit. it was many years ago!! my milia were located on my eyelids. as far as eye cream is concerned, i use kiehl's creamy eye treatment with avocado. i love it!! i also put tazorac cream under my eyes at night and use the kiehl's during the day.

Retin-A actually made mine worse but retin-a is very pore clogging for me.

I had one of these on my eyelid that had been bugging me for awhile.. I did a glycolic peel and it was gone within a day or so.

Just my 2c

Charla, the cream or the gel or both?

Retin-A gel or Tazorac, if you can. Otc probably Eluage or Retrinal.

I've tried micro, the cream, and taz. My skin can't really tolerate any of them. I'm going to call in a script for the regular gel and see how that works. My skin is so damn sensitive that it causes hives and gross whiteheads.

Hope you can make the gel work. The nice thing about it is you can use Regenerist serum and start mixing the gel into it in tiny amounts. Right now I can use Taz gel and Regenerist almost in equal amounts, during winter I could sometimes only use very little Taz!

Interesting. My husband has these around his eye, and they drive me crazy! Maybe a visit to the derm is in order for him

Regenerist also breaks me out in big swollen hives. Most lotions, creams, serums, sunscreens etc do this to me. I use Cetaphil face wash with an organic moisturizer and even then i have to use that in very small doses. I use the Clarins sunscreen but cannot find a vitamin C serum that doesnt cause big cystic bumps or hives. As I get older my skin tolerates less and less.
The weird thing is that my skin can tolerate any acid.

I really just want the retinol for under my eyes, forehead and around the mouth. However Retin-A does amazing things for fresh stretchmarks.
