Authentic Earrings?

I purchased these earrings because the picture looked legit. However, once I received them, a number of things didn't seem right. Such as: the serial number on the white price tag and the box didn't match, there was no Chanel stamp (with season) on the back of them, the earring backs weren't right (which is minor but still), the PICTURE on the box didn't match the actual contents, there was no black plastic serial tag (with number)...
I own several pieces of Chanel jewelry that I have personally purchased from the Boutiques. Every single one has a stamp or marking of some sort. I contacted the seller and she said that she purchased them from the Bellagio and the smaller styles sometimes don't come with the stamp. Hmmmm...I don't think that sounds right. She swears up and down that she personally purchased them herself and they were shipped to me exactly how she got them. I am currently getting them authenticated by MyPoupette because I think she's full of crap. What do you guys think? Have you heard of Chanel pieces (recent ones) that are unsigned? Did they make this style?

Thanks for your help, I just want to be sure I'm not losing my mind.
