Jetta, it's great that you're starting to feel the effects of excersing!

Please DON'T
go by your scale! Your body weight is going to fluctuate daily due to water retention and it can fluctuate 2-4 pounds per day! If you're eating properly and working out, you have nothing to worry about.

Ciconne is right, you will GAIN weight as you build muscle, it's a good thing (lean muscle increases your metabolism), rely on what you see in the mirror and how your clothes fit, or just understand your body weight may vary a few pounds day-to-day. If you are going to use the scale as a milestone, I suggest using a calender to track your weigh-ins and make sure you weigh yourself at the same time at each weigh-in session. On average, my weight varies by 3 pounds when I weigh myself in the morning, vs weighing myself at night and it's nothing but water weight.

As long as you're taking in LESS calories than you're expending, then you have nothing to worry about. Keep with it, and you'll start to notice it when you look in the mirror and when you put on your clothes!

Keep us posted!
