I read that book after I lost a family member and it was a little theraputic at the time. I do agree that it was very intense but it was a good book at the same time.
I also read Lucky by her (Alice Sebold) which is a true story that deals with her rape when she was young. The book goes through the highs and lows of what she dealt with to get through it and be able to move on with her life.
