I've done this as a de-tox. And yeah, you definitely lose weight...it's impossible to NOT lose weight when you're only taking in like 300-500 calories per day. But it's not something to do as a way to lose weight, and you will just gain it back once you start eating again. I've done it 4 times (pretty much once a year) to flush out my system and I'm not going to lie...it's freaking HARD! Let's see, I did 3 days the 1st time, 5 days the 2nd, 7 days the 3rd time, and 10 days the last time I did it.
Definitely don't do it for an "oomph" to get you started either...you'll just gain it all back and then some, because you're so sick of liquid all you want is eat solid food...LOT'S of solid food.
Keri said it best, eat right and excercise...but of course...expend more calories than you take in...otherwise you will STILL gain weight!
