Yes at least 30 mins cardio 4-5x a week. Unfortunately you can't target which areas of your body that you lose weight. You could also do some squats and lunges maybe 2x a week to firm up. I'm also trying to lose about 10 pounds so I can fit into all the jeans I bought.
I also find that I REALLY need to cut down my eating portions or else I never lose weight no matter how much I work out - and cut out juice and coke- try crystal light instead- my hardest is cutting out chocolate so sometimes I drink light hot chocolate instead. You could also try cutting out some carbs to have a more protein rich diet, and eat lots of veggies, drink lots of water
Lately when I have been jogging, all I think about are my crystal roths sitting there brand new - so make a goal for yourself!
