What I was trying to say is that the quality of Britney's singing while dancing routine has never been her schtick. It's about the playability of her songs in clubs and bars, it's about her tits and ass (well ... it used to be ... now I suppose it's moreso about scandals surrounding what she does with her tits and ass), and it's about the shows. And there's nothing wrong with that: she has something to sell, so more power to her that she's out there doing it.

I just find it funny that people find these kinds of recordings earth-shattering. Britney does not go out on stage to sing--that is not what she's selling. So what do you expect? That she's going to put on her singing A-game to go out there and lip sync?!

If anything, I think the video proves that she could probably put on a decent song with dance show if she actually tried for it. She has some semblance of control over her voice even when she's hardly trying, and there is certainly a quality to it.
